At North Shields Poly we want to create a strong and inclusive running community.

It’s not just about being competitive, but working together as a team, being inclusive and having fun as a group. The Poly Gold series seeks to get everyone on board with some key races which we think will help members not only improve but enjoy their athletics more. There is a team focus but all these races have an individual element too. We have chosen a selection of races based on discussions with coaches (and their athletes)

If members compete in as a many of these fixtures as possible, the female and male who have represented the club the most will gain a prize at our annual presentation evening. There will be a separate junior / senior category. The races for the 2023/2024 series is as follows:

June-Anita Knott 5km (Womens race)

August-Blyth 10km (GP opener and Poly 10km Champs)

September-Northern 4/6 stage relays

November-Heaton 10km
